Rainmaker Production to Begin Filming the World-Famous Entertainment Format “Race Across the World” Soon
Without mobile phones, credit cards, internet access, or air travel, five pairs will embark on an exciting adventure from one end of the world to the other. Race Across the World will confront the teams with numerous physical and emotional challenges, testing their resourcefulness, relationships, and endurance.
Pairs connected by any type of relationship may apply to take part, including family members, friends, or romantic partners. Under the competition rules, contestants are not allowed to travel by plane and are given only a cash amount equivalent to the price of a one-way airline ticket to the final destination. They must use this budget to cover transportation, food, and accommodation expenses. During the journey, they may also take on various jobs to earn additional money.
The route is divided into several checkpoints, and the pair that finishes a particular leg last may be eliminated from the competition. Throughout the journey, the contestants are accompanied by production and medical crews. Relying on a map and GPS, they must find the fastest and most carefully planned route to the finish line. The first pair to reach the final destination will win a cash prize of €20,000.

About the show
Race Across the World is a BAFTA Award-winning BBC series that has aired since 2019. So far, eight versions of the show have been produced: the UK original and adaptations in Denmark, the Netherlands, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Germany and Spain. Race Across the World Serbia will be the ninth version and the first Serbian adaptation of the format, broadcast on Serbia’s public broadcaster, RTS.
Five pairs of travellers set off on an epic race across multiple countries. There is just one catch: no planes, no smartphones, and only a limited budget with which to complete the journey.
